A visit to the market during Covid-19 lockdown.
A visit to the market during Covid-19 lockdown.
In 2019, an injurious viral disease spreaded in the
whole world. Millions of people suffered from this catastrophing ailment. Most of young people who got this disease recovered but
a large number of people died. It was a great challenge not only for only one country but also for the whole world.
Pathologists became helpless before it. Many microbiologists of developed countries like America and China tried all their best to prepare its vaccine and at last manufactured it after one year. During the year, there was no cure to disease. Therefore, there was only one option left, to avoid its continuous spreading and it was the precautionary measures. The government of Pakistan also took solid steps in this regard. and declared lockdown in every city.During Lockdown, markets, bazars etc were closed.Markets were opened only during particular hours and only young ones were allowed to visit market and do shopping.
During lockdown, I used to visit market and do shopping for all the members of my family. One of my visit always remains in my mind and I can't forget
it even with a great effort. That day, my father asked me to buy some required things for home.I got myself ready, weared gloves and facemask, hired taxi and went to the market.I said the driver to drop me near busy bazar of my city and let him leave and pick me again when I call him. When I entered the market, I got confused to observe its environment. All the shops were off. I did not get helpless and began walking in the market
to search the required things but where I went there the market was off.
It was a good fortune for me that I met police there. I told them the whole adventure. They politely said that the market opens only during Some specific hours. One of them told me that about one hour is left after which market will be opened and just specific shops will be
Opened. I took a sigh of cool relief and waited for the arrival of market honours.I thanked God when I saws customers opening shops. All of them were fully covered with dresses to protect themselves from Covid
d-19.I got up from the bench and firstly purchased édibles. The customer of that shop asked me to stop at Six feets and tell him loudly what you want to buy.I gave him a list and he packed the goods. The price of everything was touching the sky. That time,I thought about the back breaking responsibilities of my father. Then, I went to garmets where I had to wait for a long time standing in queve. The clients were starding
outside the garmets shop following Covid 19 SCP's. The police Constables having sticks in their hands were roamning here and there. While I was starding in the queue, one of the clients who reached at the end didn't follow SOP's. The police man
him ran towards him angrily and asked him to mend his way otherwise he will arrest him. The temperature was about 40. Our clothes became full of sweat.
I took a sigh of relief when I completed my shopping. Now, I called Taxi Driver. The Taxi
driver refused to pick me saying, During market time we are not allowed to enter market. I decided to travel by bus.I got rikkshaw and reached bus station. At the bus station, passengers were
standing six meter away from one another following the SOPS. Finally, bus arrived and passengers entered into the bus Where again we were given Strict instructions to follow SOPS. They received double fare because they used to take fifty percent seats filled. I reached home in the evening.
At home, I told my parents about the annoying situation of our city and difficulties faced
by citizens. I realized that the whole world is passing through a difficult time. My family and I prayed for the future of humanity.May Allah uproot this pandemic soon then survival of humanity will be possible otherwise it is standing at the verge of chaos. May Allah take pity on us!
Much informative
